Steps 2 and 3 - Mark H. and Dave H.

Welcome to week 32! This week we have Mart H. and Dave H. talking about steps 2 and 3, what it means for us to really surrender to God and to live out the second and third steps not only in the area of our addiction but in all of our lives. For it takes living this out to get sobriety and maintain sobriety. So I hope you all enjoy this as much as I have! As always, you can email me at with any comments, questions or suggestions! Step 1, 2 and 3 - Johnnie H.

Welcome to week 31! Sorry for it being late this week, but I managed to get back form thanksgiving without listening to any new mp3's and the yesterday I finished a book I was writing for a write a novel in a month project. But this week we have Johnnie H. talking about Steps 1, 2 and 3. Even though I worked these steps a while back, he really emphasizes what the first three steps are about, admitting our own powerlessness, surrendering our will to God's and walking in the knowledge of that. Even though I've been sober for a while, it truly reminded me of why the first three steps are so important my life as the foundation of me walking in sobriety. So I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! Also, as always, if you have any comments, quesitons or concerns, you can email me at! This mp3 came from so check them out!

How It Works - Joe And Charlie

Welcome to week 30! This week I tried to find some new material for steps 1, 2 and 3 but failed in doing so, and since mp3's take a while to listen through I decided to go back to some more of what Joe and Charlie say about the beginning of the 12 step program. I think their insights are so critical to understanding what this program of action is, and as the title says, how it works. So if you haven't heard this mp3 before you are in for a treat, and if you have may it help you as much as me to grow in our sobriety! As always, if you have any comments, questions, concerns or anything you would like to see in the podcast, email me at! Also, this mp3 came from, so check them out!

Doctor's Opinon - Joe and Charlie

Welcome to week 29! I have to apologize for this week coming out a little bit later, I usually make sure I have the podcast posted by 11:30pm on Thursday (PST), but as there have been a few major life events going on for me I didn't plan ahead enough to get it posted till this morning :). This week's mp3 is classic audio from Joe and Charlie walking through the doctor's opinion section of the AA Big Book. They talk about how our addictions are an allergy, something that we have a physical reaction to. But this is a good basis for us understanding our own addictions either for the first time or being reminded of the basis of our addictions. As always, thank you for your encouraging emails, it helps me to be encouraged myself :) and if you have any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns about the podcast feel free to email me at! Also, these mp3's came from, so check them out!

Steps 1, 2 and 3 - Hector E.

Welcome to week 28! This week we have Hector walking us through the first three steps, giving us some background on the Big Book and walking us through what it means to really work the first three steps. It seems to be a good time to start going through the whole 12 step program again, so over the next few weeks I will be posting different mp3's which help us as we walk through the 12 steps. Once again, thanks for your emails and I'm glad that there are many of us who are encouraged by this podcast, for it helps me keep sober too :). As always this mp3 came from and if you want to contact me with comments, questions or concerns you can email me at!
